Its archetypal language can illuminate the underlying energies and motivations shaping your life’s direction. As you come to understand these influences, you have greater opportunity to work consciously with them, creating a deeper connection with your authentic self and your evolving life purpose.
Astrology is also a multifaceted discipline that can be applied in many ways.
NATAL CHART READINGS
Your birth chart is unique to you. It offers a rich picture of the archetypal energies present at the time of your birth and the ways in which they may manifest throughout your life.
In a personal reading, we explore the major themes of your chart, including your strengths, challenges, patterns and areas of potential. The intention is not simply to describe who you are, but to help you understand the deeper dynamics at work within your life and how you might work with them more consciously.
TIMING & TRANSITS
Another important application of astrology is timing.
In my readings, we will always spend some time looking at what is coming into focus within a defined period of time. Current planetary movements, or transits, can illuminate periods of change, challenge, opportunity and development.
This same approach can be used to understand significant periods in the past, as well as to explore potential future developments.
RELATIONSHIP ASTROLOGY
Astrology can also offer remarkable insight into the dynamics between two people—whether partners, family members, friends, co-workers, or virtually any other significant relationship.
In a relationship reading, I first look at each person’s individual birth chart and how the two charts interact. This helps identify areas of connection, attraction, tension and particular focus within the relationship.
I then look at the composite chart—the chart of the relationship itself—to explore the nature and purpose of the relationship as a whole.
As with an individual chart reading, this can provide insight into the underlying dynamics of a relationship and help each person understand how to work with them more consciously and effectively.
EVOLUTIONARY ASTROLOGY

Evolutionary Astrology is a modern approach to astrology pioneered by Jeffrey Wolf Green. It places particular emphasis on Pluto and the Moon’s Nodes to explore the soul’s evolutionary journey.
This approach comes from the perspective that our souls are on a constantly evolving path toward greater wholeness and consciousness. The challenges we encounter in life can be understood in relationship to our karmic history, our early experiences and the evolutionary intentions of the current lifetime.
In other words, Evolutionary Astrology seeks to understand our lives from the perspective of the soul.
PLUTO, THE NODES & THE KARMIC STORY
Pluto represents deep processes of transformation, including the places where we may encounter compulsion, attachment, loss, empowerment and the necessity to change. The Moon’s Nodes provide another important dimension, helping us explore patterns carried forward from the past and the direction in which our consciousness is being invited to grow.
Together, these elements can illuminate recurring patterns in our lives, unresolved issues, as well as the gifts and abilities developed through previous experience.
Your birth chart can therefore become a road map for exploring the soul’s intentions for this lifetime.
Rather than simply identifying what is difficult, we can ask deeper questions:
Why does this pattern continue to appear?
What is it asking me to become conscious of?
What have I already developed that can help me meet it?
And what new qualities am I being invited to develop?
THE URANUS TRAUMA SIGNATURE
Adding another layer of depth to this approach is the use of the “Uranus trauma signature,” developed by astrologer Mark Jones.
Uranus can provide additional insight into deeply held or inherited patterns of trauma and the ways in which these experiences may continue to influence our lives.
When considered alongside Pluto, the Nodes and the rest of the birth chart, the Uranus signature can add another dimension to understanding the deeper story being expressed through an individual’s life.
THE PURPOSE OF EVOLUTIONARY ASTROLOGY
The purpose of Evolutionary Astrology is ultimately to bring into conscious awareness the past, present and future dimensions of the soul’s journey.
It is deep by nature and can be both revealing and healing. By coming to understand the patterns and energies represented in our chart, we can begin to relate to our experiences from a larger perspective.
The intention is not to tell you what your life must become. Rather, it is to illuminate the energies and possibilities already present, so that you can participate more consciously in your own evolutionary process.
For many people, this can change the way they understand themselves, their relationships and the circumstances of their lives. In other words, Evolutionary Astrology seeks to understand our lives from the perspective of the soul.
